Bolina Records is thrilled to welcome Leo Fresco to the family for our fourth release, the Pavlova EP. A truly well-rounded and towering figure in the Italian music scene, Fresco brings decades of expertise, both behind the boards and behind the decks, to this highly anticipated four-track record.
Known for his long-standing collaboration with Italian music icon Lorenzo Jovanotti, and fresh off a recent collaboration with the legendary Rick Rubin, Fresco's roots run deep. Tied by a deep friendship and shared artistic prowess with Dj Ralf, he is recognized as an extraordinary sound engineer. Some of the finest pop, indie, and electronic artists have passed through his studio to experience his sonic magic. In the booth, Fresco is an exuberant DJ who drives the dancefloor wild with an impeccable, polyhedric selection that effortlessly spans disco, techno, house, and breakbeat.
The Pavlova EP is the perfect distillation of his sound: refined and highly musical, yet perfectly tailored for the coolest underground clubs and radio airwaves alike. Written and recorded on the move between Monte Carlo, Zurich, Casole d'Elsa, and Pesaro from June to November 2025, and finalized at Malkovich Studio in Umbria, the EP is a masterclass in style and groove.

A1. Pavlova
The title track is a beautifully unquantized, live-sounding jam. Alternating electric pianos, electric bass, and punchy, biting percussion, the groove opens up to reveal a clever and captivating street-house jazz vocal sample. This is mature 'music for adults,' or simply for younger listeners craving genuine musicality on the dancefloor.
A2. Boulevard
A deep house journey that sits perfectly at the crossroads of Detroit soul and cosmic Italian flair. Carrying a distinct underground flavor, this track is a perfect snapshot of Fresco's signature DJ set style.
B1. Pomposo
Pure, slow, and powerful energy. A masterfully crafted track that floats beautifully in the sweet spot between Italo disco and Balearic beats.
B2. Obrigada Jam feat. Sebra Cruz
Bossa-infused atmospheres meet a wonderfully unexpected, grunge-style vocal melody from Sebra Cruz. The vocal performance playfully clashes with the arrangement, elevating the track into something completely unique-essentially carving out a genre that didn't exist until now.
